Take a clue from nature, don't ever remember seeing an elm with an "S" curve in the trunk.

I thought we were talking about elms, not those swamp trees.

Can't tell much about the bottom one, won't enlarge. It's been 40 years since I've had 20/20 vision.

Thumbs up An Aristotelian view

No Harry, Demeter the 'earth mother' gets credit here. Elms do not do well for me in the plywood state.

I've been to Florida twice, my only mistake was going in the summer, rains every afternoon. Stayed over by the island where Jimmy Conners lives. Inlaws at the time lived on an island and we went every where by boat. up and down the canals to islands to eat out. Next time I visit it will be in the winter. Beautiful picture by the way.

Thumbs up

Paul Alexander is the guy that took that shot. Should have given credit. Winter is the time to explore the woods in Florida for trees. I don't do the boat bar hopping any more. Funny you mention Conners. I still use his racket, Wilson steel frame to play tennis. I showed up at my daughter's fancy club she joined with my ancient racket thinking everyone would think I was ranked in the World. They laughed me off the courts. Most of them had never seen a Wilson T-2000 racket before. My daughter was embarrassed, the whole thing was awful. I ran out to the car and cried.
