Third Spruce Project
This is the European spruce (Picea abies) in 1996 in the Alps on a mountain meadow.

half an hour later.
Most people would leave the tree like this and form a nice, rather high bonsai from it.

In 2002 it looked like this and the tree was nominated for the Gingko exhibit and accepted.

In April 2003 I took off the wire after four years. Unfortunately the tree decided not to keep the new form.

Subsequently I have taken the tree off the Gingko list. Now it looks like this with the new growth of this year.
I am free now to continue refining not being bothered by constraints becauese of an upcoming exhibit.
