The Ice Storm has locked up the State of Texas....
Hwy 90 from Del Rio to other side of San Antonio is all ice!!!!! State has closed the hwy down!
And it is Moving to the East towards Houston....

irene, i'd like to be sympathetic, but here in massachusetts it has been really cold as of late, with a few snow flakes visible throughout today. i remember being on fort hood when we got some snow in texas, i feel for you, no plows, no sand trucks. heres to sharing in the misery of winter!!

Winter has arrived here in Va. also. All I can say is Thank Heavens, finally! Trees were beginning to stir, especially the amur maples. The deep freeze will stop that. Hope thing stay cold for a while. This 70 F in January weather is for the birds. I gotta go skiing too...

81 degrees today in Florida. It's really going to drop on us tomorrow, we're expecting lows around 69 degrees tomorrow afternoon. I may have to wear something other than a t-shirt. Or not.

I do miss the cold so I'll gladly swap anytime you can make the arrangements.

5th or 6th straight day with temps close to the teens at night-and highs around 50. Bring it on, says I, regular seasons are great for the trees, dormancy is a bonus here in california. (and I'm still in shorts, Graydon )
