sydney city bonsai club

hi all...
this one is for the aussies...
i'm fairly new to bonsai and so far have purchased 3 trees (fig, maple & juniper)..
my main query is regarding sydney city bonsai club.. i live within walking distance from where they meet up and was wondering if anyone on the forum is a member...
my trees are not very spectacular and i'm slighlty afraid of scorn should i turn up with one of my little fellas
would such a club be suitable for someone like myself with limited experience

I live 3 hours drive from any Bonsai club so I would jump at the chance In fact I am jealous

I am sure they will welcome you well. There will be other members with trees like yours.
But Why not turn up with no trees the first time. There will be plenty to see and hear. Members don't always take trees with them to meetings.
I have been to one of Canberra's clubs meetings and I didn't need a tree with me to enjoy the experience.
I guess you are keen to get some advice on your trees so it is up to you but you will learn alot in any event and you can organise to jion in a workshop with your trees at a later meeting

Thumbs up

I am not sure if that is the one with Megumi Bennett if it is they will make you most welcome. I am a senior member of the two clubs in Western Australia and we always make vistors welcome.
In most clubs they have a policy of three visits, then they want ya money!!!.As Soltan said you do not need a tree to learn what is on offer. Go along and enjoy.
Thats how I got my start many years ago.
You will meet some very nice people, also some of the others. Be willing to listen to the ones who show what they can do.The most important thing is learning, keep doing it. yours in Bonsai Pup.
