Gday Pup.

This is grim news indeed, and I'm always sorry to hear it.

I assume that this student and his stolen trees are in Western Australia somewhere. (Of course, in the age of the Internet, your student/mate could be almost anywhere in the world...) Could you please provide us with a very rough location from which the trees were stolen? This may help when people visit markets and such in the local area.

Thanks, and good luck.

Fly.

Thumbs down

G,day Fly sorry I did not think of that. The area concerned is indeed in Perth metro. Gosnells-- Huntingdale. The Canning vale markets are not far away but garage sales abound in all areas. We have been in touch with the Bonsai Nurseries I will let the people in the Bonsai society know tomorrow night. Thank you for pointing that out. Yours in Bonsai Pup

Pup This is dreadful news and I am sorry to read this. These people who do this type of crime are very low. Hope things get resolved soon and the trees are reunited with the owner. These are our children.

Bummer Pup
So sorry to hear but unfortunately it is all to often occurrence.

One of the teachers at "The School of Bonsai", George Reissis, had several Trees pinched from his backyard. about 18 months ago. The permanent display we kept at Auburn Botanic gardens is no longer open due to Tree theft occuriing all too often

As hs been mentioned before, stolen Trees are rarely found due to I suspect them being taken by people commissioned to do so. Local Hoodlums would not do it as they would not know where to dispose of them.

hi peoples,

last night had three trees stolen from redfern, off the back wall.

one was a shohin ficus rubiginosa, in the branch develoment stage. about 4 inches tall.
one was a trunk-chopped crabapple, inch caliper, with a very nice nebari. about 1 inch tall
last tree was a trunk-chopped quercus robur, 1 1/2 to 2 inch caliper. about 2.5 inches tall. wedge-cut, intended for 'broom' style.

first two trees were in rectangular plastic containers, similar to a pond basket. ficus was in amix of diatomite and black granite and some organics. crabapple was in a 'koreshoff' mixture.
oak was in a cut down plastic black pot, with $22 marked in chalk on the container. oak was 'random' organic mixture.

please keep a look out.

regards,
ty

ps. no photos.
