Leesa,
Very good advice! Yes, quality - not quantity. The number of trees I have has dwindled, but mainly from having numerous seedlings that didn't make it through my trial and error learning. I have been into bonsai for around 3 years now, and don't have any finished trees. I have a couple of them that were sold to me as finished trees, but I now know otherwise. A lot of my early learning came from old books. The books were somewhat misleading in what to look for, etc. I was also impatient and wanted to see the little trees in pots, right away. Not a good idea. I don't plan on moving in the near future, but that's definitely something to take into consideration for people who move every so often for their work or other reasons. |
