Some sort of ficus

Has anyone ever heard of a Burt Davies ficus? I picked up one of these at a show here 2 summers ago and it’s doing great but from time to time it will produce these round green balls on the end of the branches about the size of black peppers (the kind you use in a pepper mill). Anyway, I can’t find info on the tree and don’t know if they are supposed to be fruit that turns to flowers or just a funny looking growth. Any thoughts?

Cheers

Its called Burtt Davii ficus.
They are excellent trees to keep as bonsai and the leaves will reduce well in time.

i love the tree, and the leaves are really well proportioned. No fruit right now though, it all fell off about a month ago. Thanks for the insight, i'll try and get a pic up tonight, still don't really know how to do that... i know i know...

Jerry,
It took a bit to figure it out but here's a few pic's of mine. 1st shot is a close up (I know there is a bit of a reverse taper to the trunk but i like it none the less). 2nd is it sitting above the breakfast bar in our house.
