I'd love to have a copy of this book. What offer could I make that can compete with eBay? It seems to routinely go for $125-150. The $261 floored me.

The ones in the lower price range are typically not signed editions. I guess it's worth what someone is willing to pay.

To be honest, I hadn't realized the difference, John. Do you have any idea what percentage are signed? Were they signed at shows, etc, or were mass amounts signed when they were published (as I assume was done with Bonsai Techniques I & II)

I have signed Bonsai Techniques I and II. As collectors items, they will not appreciate significantly for several more years. However, the Satsuki book has been printed far less, and to the collector may present more of rare oppurtunity with the signature.

Don't really know the answer to your question, Zube. It is one book that I'd like to have, but not at those prices. Naka's Bonsai Techniques signed books are ubiquitous, and not very expensive.
