I wanted to offer our forum members the opportunity to review a new feature. The revised Links listing. This links listing will eventually replace the existing bonsailinks feature in our menu bar above. That program has been very successful at bringing new members to our site, but the new one is even better: PHP/MySQL database based Allows user to login and maintain their own preferred link categories and lists Multiple themes Faster, more complex searches Better link browsing tools Preview tool gives you a dropdown of the page before you even leave the site! Stops people from submitting spamlinks like casino & poker lots more! The link list is far from complete but you're welcome to check it out here: http://www.bonsaitalk.com/lug (this is not the permanent address) Eventually we'll have the usual bonsaiTALK header bar, but this setup is just for the time being. You can login, if you like, using the login forum which is a little buried halfway down the screen at left. Use your bonsaiTALK username and password. That will let you "remember" a particular theme. Comments are appreciated - you might see a few broken screenshots because I have to rebuild those locally every now and then, so the most recent links often have not been rebuilt. Yes indeed there is such a plan! Thanks for the positive feedback. The links stuff has been in the works for some time before I returned to full time employment, but it's only been possible recently to import all the links from the old database.

It seemed like a particularly good time to roll it out, though!

TreeBay Tips:5¢ Advice:Free *MODERATOR GROUP* Join Date: Aug-2001 Location: Silicon Valley Country: USA USDA Zone: 9 AHS Heat Zone: 4 Posts: 9,745	One of the biggest differences between what we have had for years at http://www.bonsaitalk.com/links and what we have available now at http://www.bonsaitalk.com/lug is invisible, but it's the fact that since we're now working with an actual database instead of a big flat file, the categories can be more descriptive, and the links can apply to more than one category, so searches should be more productive and quicker.
