Smaller Needles?
I have a small pine that I got off of a tin roof. The ordeal of getting it out tore off the tap root, and I put it in a pot. But the needles keep getting longer and longer. Any thing I can do to make the needles shorter?

You can cut or break off the immature needle bundle as it extends (late spring), or remove it entirely after it has formed (summer).
There is some info on the TreeBay Bonsai Tools & Supplies site under Articles --> Black Pine Care. Regards, Matt
