Question Repotting My Fukien Tea

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to repot my Fukien Tea in a copper planter?

Christi, can you tell us a little more? Does the tree live inside or outside? (Outside the metal would heat up and kill the roots). Does the planter have holes in it? Are there places in the bottom where the water could puddle and not drain?

I agree with Joanie. Placing a tree in a copper planter outside could prove to be fatal, especially under a scorching Texan sun. Aside from the direct heat that would radiate into the soil, you would also have a hard time keeping the soil evenly hydrated.

Growing indoors would probably be ok, but you'll be forever polishing the damn thing, especially if you get it wet and it oxidises. I polished enough of Grandma's growing up to know lol.

All the best,

Aaron

Plus the copper could leach and affect the plant negatively.
