Manure tea is good (for the plants, that is!). I use a pelletized form of chicken manure called "Black Hen" here in the U.S. Great stuff. Balanced formula.

I was just thinking about this same topic a few days ago. I was curious if the water I was using had any effect on my bonsai. Both seem to be sick and was thinking about changing water sources.
I have a chinese elm and a hinoki cypress. Both were thriving when I brought them home, watered and fertilized properly as far as I can tell. Just out of curiosity is there anything that these trees would not respond to well about certain types of water? |
