ZING! And, need I add, "Ouch!"

I'm working on improving my trees, and my bonsai technique.
In the meantime, try the veal and tip your waitress -- I'll be here all week!

But meant in the fondest way, Pootsie.

I just couldn't help myself.

I like to give rep points for thoughtful, well written posts (Pootsie, I've given you points for informative ones several times) and also for humorous posts. If someone takes the time and trouble to post a lot of information, or to go more indepth than the norm, they deserve a little happy karma.

Interestingly enough, the few negs and neutrals I have received have almost all been for what I had hoped was humor. Just goes to show you that one person's giggle is another person's angst.

Using the rep points as a sort of finger in the wind helps you to see how you come across to others, and gives you an opportunity to correct yourself so that you can be more clear. Think of it as a substitute for the visual and audio signals that we are more used to seeing...someone turning away, shuffling their feet, looking uncomfortable, changing the subject.

Most likely the same finger I get everyday from other drivers on my way to and from work. I can't imagine why all those people would be telling me I'm number one all the time.

OK. Poots, your jokes aren't any better than your trees... Gosh, I hope I helped make you feel better

In case anyone wants to send me hate mail, this is an attempt at humor, not meant to offend anyone. Pootsie's trees are very nice and he knows what he's doing bonsaiwise.

I certainly don't want to get in a battle of wits with him either. He is a lawyer after all and lawyers are SCARY

It's a good thing we don't use rep points for drivers, isn't it? Gallagher once said that everyone should have a squirt gun full of paint when they are driving...and they can "shoot" a car whose driver is an idiot. Then the police just have to pick up the most paint-covered car....
