Exclamation Priorities

Recently, there seems to have been a tendency for threads to get sidetracked with arguments between personalities.

This is unfortunate and does not speak well for our on-line community.

Perhaps we could expend some of this energy in responding to inquiries on the board which seem to be going neglected.

Please!

I do agree Bart. These esoteric debates about the meaning of bonsai (etc.) have made more enemies than friends.

Just what exactly are you trying to say, Bart?

Just kidding, alright, I'm with you, let's bonsai.

I would have posted an answer to this thread, but I was too busy arguing with Will.

im definitely in agreement. i for one enjoy the discussions those kinds of threads bring up, and they should be brought up, but not without the tempers and the ego.

This doesn't mean that I am going to actually have to go outside and work on my trees does it? They won't be happy about that.

O.K Good debate should be too the point and not novel length so that the writer feels they have big noted themselves. Yes we can be tongue in cheek but hey not too serious that cardiac arrest becomes a feature. The Dead Bonsaists Society. Now look here Cre8tive these ever changing avatars make me quite frankly .....well....... LOL Regards Ash

Bart, well said. We have found it easier to sidetrack a thread on what is basically a non bonsai issue. Not a good thing.

It is one thing to highjack a thread or take it off on a tangent if it is a bonsai related issue.... but for other reaons is not exceptable....

I am trying the 'ignore list' option available to us for at least one of our membership.... it may be worth it, or not... time will tell.
