Posting Pet Peeves

All of us, I'm sure, read certain posts and shudder....thinking, "not again!" So, here's a thread to share your pet peeves when it comes to posting behavior. No names or thread links please....

Mine is "Please answer my question....I don't like your answer so you must be wrong"....

Followed closely by "...I posted this question a hour ago, why hasn't anybody answered?..."

Who's next?

Brian

LMAO!

Ohhhhhh what a marvelous thread.

I guess mine are like yours Brian, coupled with "No one's answered, so I'll start a new thread - asking the exact same thing"

lol I cant wait to see other peoples answers!

All the best,

Aaron

Hi B,

I have noticed people will ask for help and then members will answer the Q's, then leave links to articles and so forth for further reading. Then you load up the forum the next day and find the same people starting up threads asking the exact questions that these extra bits have covered. It is usally the same couple of folks(you know who you are) leaving links and stuff to help over and over again for them just not to read out of lazyness.I just end up sitting here thinking to myself..man,if you would just have read the info provided you wouldn't be asking these questions. But all in all I am happy this place is here to help us amatures out.

... and oh yeah, something about those "art threads" too.

Lol! Shame on you for starting this thread!!!

I agree with all of the above, plus;

LOOOOONG threads that are comprised of several quotes with rebuttals, cross-referenced and annotated. (geez, lighten up! )

And then, and it's not a huge thing, the ones that sound like grammar school drop-outs with run on sentences and loussssy spelling. Take a breath, already!

My pet peeve, out side of when someone's pet peeves on my trees,-- it is this: I have just got a bonzai can you tell me what it is? Followed by this: There is something wrong with my bonzai. (no details) and this. I think my bonzai is dead can I save it? Of course we must not forget this one: I was gone on vacation for six weeks and my bonzai is crispy and brown what do I do now? or this one: You have to water these things? Followed by the zinger of all times.

Can you tell me how to grow a banzai? (suggesting ten words or less) I usually answer--- NO! , at least in my head.

I echo Michelle's comment about spelling errors, but especially the misuse of the word "compliment" when "complement" is the correct one. (How does that score on analmometer??)

Do ya really think this is a topic that is productive for this forum?

I know a lot of you have been posting here for a while now, and some of these are valid.
If you post a question, be prepared for the answer. Ya may not like it but you asked.
When some one gives links to the answer, read the info.
If someone peeves you and all you do is sit and think to your self... its your problem. You didn't take the time to tell the person to "study the info".
If someone shows an interest in bonsai and their family and/or friends buy them a tree with no info, is it not propper to ask on this forum for help identifying it? and if this tree developes a problem is this not the place to ask for help? If the tree is dead tell him its dead and move on.
I'm not in the habit of editing my posts for spelling and grammer. I ususaly try to get it right, ya know typos and errors happen.

I didn't know this B.B. was for experienced artists and/or mensa members only.
