bonsaiTALK Hint: Did you know you can double click any bonsai term on this page for its definition?

Possible Literati (in 20 Yrs!)

Dug this up the other day and wondered if it would make a good literai quite a few years down the road. Pretty sure it's a cedar. Are they doable in literati style - I don't think I've every seen it.

I would think it would be kinda hard to tell now. To young.. but maybe someone can fortell it. If where mine I would put back in ground for a few years, or plan to pot up and up till the trunk is developed.

Travis, you have a young tree... a very young tree. If it pleases you that is what matters, but you should think about a grow box or 'in the ground' at this point in its life. Yes it might be a Literati in the future but even in 20 years, in the small pot, it will still be a very small, thin, young tree. It needs the room to grow!

Thx Jay,

After I posted this pic I thought to myself, "Probably ought to bury this little sucker for awhile and check him out in a few years!"
