Plant ID Needed

The following is what I beleive to be Ilex Vomitoria (Yaupon Holly), however I am not 100% certain. I collected this as a seedling two autumns ago out of my front yard. They tend to fill up the yard that time of year in an area under a live oak, and I originally thought it was a live oak. Ilex are a very common species in this part of Texas.

FWIW if I had to put a guess to it then it would be an Ilex vomitoria 'schillings' A pretty common plant in almost all of the south side of the US.
A good bonsai subject. Might take a few years for the trunk to caliper up but well worth the wait.

hmmm.. this isn't a ilex v. shillings. The ilex has alternate branching this plant (maybe a privet) has opposite branching.
Ilex leaves are pointy and have mild serrate edge.
My guess would be a privet.

I agree with Tom that it definitely not a holly.
I don't know of any Ilex that are alternate leaved.

Privet makes sense.
