Pinus Mugo
short question. can you work on a pinus mugo in early summer with the candles half way finished( i mean that the needles have started to appear) and i am reffering to wiring and some branch pruning

D3rutat,
I do not have first-hand experience with Mugo pine but I avoid wiring white pine during this period because the emerging candles / newly formed needles are quite tender and easy to break off. -Carl

yeah that seems obvious but i am thinking about bark damage.I have read somewhere that during the growing season, the sap is really close to the bark and you can destroy the bark very easy. Don't know if i am correct.....
