G'day all wise ones,
My PINUS LEUCODERMIS - "Schmidtii". sometimes considered to be a variety of Pinus Heldreichii, is growing very well, but very, very slow, as according to its reputation. Question is: pruning this small one, [20cm = 8 inches high], do I remove old needles as I do my other pines, all of its needles look extremely healthy and very green, but, should like to safely thin it out if only to let light in. This tree also bud-backs relatively freely, it is very similar to the Japanese Black Pine, PINUS THUNBERGII. Nigel ![]()
