bonsaiTALK Hint: Did you know you can double click any bonsai term on this page for its definition?

Question Palm Beach Trip In Late July

We will be in Palm Beach Shores July 25-29th. I expect to rent a car to visit Jupiter Bonsai, and hopefully get up to Vero Beach as well.

Any other nurseries that I should not miss? They'll have to be able to ship (unless I buy a "carry-on".

Thanks.

Bart

As far as I am concerned those are the best two nurseries in Florida.
But talk to Alan at Jupiter Bonsai and I am sure that he will not only tell you about more but if he has the chance he will take you to them as well

Bart,
If you are willing to drive another 20 minutes north there is one more bonsai nursery. This nursery is small, but he does have one outstanding thing- fukien teas. He imported small leaf fukien teas from China ten years ago. They are now about 2 inch caliper trunks and about 10 inches tall. I would say that they are worth driving the 20 minutes for. If you would like to know more just Private Message me and I will send you the directions.

Thanks for the thought.

I will chew on it. I am less than enthusiastic about Fukien Teas than I should be. I have had one and gave it away. (Part of that was he "S" shaped trunk - it was my first bonsai).

Maybe a more natural looking tree...
