OZ East Coast Heavy Weather

G'day all...especially my friends in the Land of Oz...

My daughter advises that over the past week end, heavy weather, from Brisbane to the QLD/NSW border, with winds at 105K per hour caused power outages and flooding, coaltal beaches closed for three days, waves at 17m (about 55 feet?), main dam went from 70% to 105% capacity...

Hope you and yours are all well, and that none of you lost any of your bonsai...or even suffered any damage.

My daughter, in Southport, said they may have to replace their (asbestos) roof...no other damage.

Hope the weather is better...rather than wetter!

Pat

It's been very windy. A confluence of an upper level high and an intense, localised low caused some problems along the coast between Bundaberg (300km north) and Byron Bay (200km south).

Weather has cleared. Shame it never filled up Brisbane's dams. A city of 1.8million, with watering restrictions that have us hand-watering for an hour between 7pm and 7am, maximum.

Thank heavens I don't have a lot of trees.
