Is it possible that I use my own pic, but keep the size smaller than the marginal's width?
For example, if I use a pic that is 1000x2000 pixels, the size will be reduced, which is understandable, but if I use a pic of 20x20 pixels, it will be enlarged to fit the width of the dark gray marginal on the left.
Why can't it be 20x20?

The pictures in the Treebay Toolshed have smaller sizes, though. That's why I'm using one of them, again.

It's not a big problem, but I don't want to use a picture that makes my posts a lot longer that they actually are.

Re: Own profile picture

The difference is that the Gifs are resized, JPEGs are not. I don't know why this is. If I have a chance I might play with it and see if I can make it stop resizing the JPEGs.

I think it resizes JPEGs because it can, and that's not necessarily a good thing.

If you use a 20x20 gif, I think it will work

In any case please don't post a 1000x2000 user image. it would take most users 5 minutes to download it and I doubt they would hang around that long

Regards,

Matt

Re: Own profile picture

Okay, thanks for the tip.
You know, it was just an example.
I'll try using GIF.

Hmph. Still doesn't work. It resizes my GIF too. :
Something weird, I'd say.
