Outraged At Norfolk Botanical Gardens

My Dad told me the NBG ripped out my favorite tree! It wasn't damaged by the hurricane as far as I know. It was a beautiful 100+ year old Japanese Red Pine. They ripped it out to put in a children play area!

Any more information on this would be appreciated. I would hate to think they ripped it out just to do something so stupid.

The kids can go to McDonalds to play but when I visit my dad it is a little bit harder for me to go find a 100 year old wild JRP.
GRRRRRRRRRR!

It is your type of mindset and perverted priority shifts that encourages people to think that it is ok to murder a perfectly healthy child in its mother right before it is birthed and cut up its lifeless body for stem cell research, and not even blink, but in the next breath raise 100,000 dollars to save a Red Wood.

I do not like this example that you have given to us. Many people, incliding I, suffer from diseases that stem cell research could find a cure for. I am sure if you were in a situation of the same sort you would be for stem cell research as well. I do not wish to see a non-bonsai related argument start up from this statement so please try and give a less controversial example next time.

Either you're horrible (understatment) at making sarcastic jokes or you're views are extremely distorted. Just because I think a beautiful tree should not have been ripped out to make way for a play area of which can be found down the road at a fast food joint, does not mean I want to kill children.

What is wrong with you? Anyone with the sense of an adult, and I would hope adults with children, can see my point. A 100 year old tree takes priority over a PLAYGROUND, not children, because this PLAYGROUND can be found down the road. Come on man seriously.

There are so many things wrong with your views it's not even something I would dream of making light of.

My apologies to Matt as the moderator and all the other respected people that make up this great forum. This really hit my last nerve.

PS
Maybe you should ad me to this list even if you were "joking" (I'll be nice enough to give you the, "I was joking excuse" so you can save-face in front of everyone on this forum)

Good gosh this has gotten out of hand. It isn't a full moon so we can't blame that. Must just be the nuts coming out of the wood work.
What started off in jest has rapidly turned (do I dare say it) stupid.
