Absolutely....I am doing nothing to this tree for at least a season or more. The fact that it seems to be recovering is a big relief but it's not out of the woods yet. These ideas are very interesting though. In a year or two, I might give it a go. What season do you try this type of work? How long before a successful graft of this nature takes and can be severed from the original plant? I will file this away for future reference. Thanks.
