Olea europaea - wintering

Hey all, just a quick question.
i bought a young European Olive during the summer and this will be its first winter with me. will i survive in zone 8 in a small plastic greenhouse type construction, or do i need to bring it inside for the winter?

the climate atm:
Outside:
approx 8*C in the morning (7:30 am)
approx 10*C in the afternoon/evening (4-6pm)
around 5*C during the night.
(the greenhouse thingy is about 1*c warmer than outside)
Damp (doesnt mega affect the olive because the greenhoues thingy is closed up.)
maybe a very cold winter over here, weather forecasters are warning of mega cold temps that we arent used to.
Fresh air enters the greehouse from under it, so air flow is good, but this means it will stay cold.

btw, same question for Lychee (LYCHEE/LITCHI CHINENSIS) tree.

thanks in advance
Rowan

Olive tree

No need to bring it inside at all. The olive tree is 100% outdoor tree unless you live in a place th VERY bad weather, for example, -15C temperature with winter blizzards.

In fact olives appreciate cool weather in the winter and full sun in the summer.
So don't be afraid to let it grow outside in the winter.

regards
Dimitris
