Ok, I didn't read the whole thread only because I'm at work and don't have the time to do so. Now, I'm a real beginner at the art so my opinions are from a non technical stand point. Just the impact of the tree on the mind.
My impressions: Tree #1 Awesome! The cut roots are as you've said easily hidden and not really an issue of the tree, only of the presentation. Something about the hight of the lowest foliage bothers me. But of course an incredible tree. Tree #2 If trees were people this tree would be Aphrodite! The gracefull curve of that trunk can't help but lure you in! This is a tree you could look at for days on end and never get bored. What grace! |

Well, as i stay in Scotland and have never seen these guys in the flesh so to speak, my vote goes to # 3. #1 looks as though it had been chopped and simply stuck in pot, but WHAT a tree !! but no movement about it. #2 is also a splendid tree but i ain't into that style. Now back to number #3 it reminds me of a weeping willow, i can imagine sitting on the porch on a eve. and watch it gracefully swaying in the breeze, Hmm.
