bonsaiTALK Hint: Did you know you can double click any bonsai term on this page for its definition?

North Carolina in October

Does anyone have a link to the schedule of events at the North Carolina Bonsai Expo in October? the Arboretum's website just gives the dates. Will there be demonstrations/classes? thinking of making the drive, will schedule time off work and would like to know what's happening!! I love Asheville, especially in the fall....

The only link I can find for the Carolina Bonsai Expo takes me to the '06 show's particulars.

Its generally scheduled the 2nd weekend in October. Besides that I know of no details for this years Expo.

Historically, demos and workshops have gone quickly with preference to members of the clubs that are displaying in the show.

The curator of the bonsai collection there is speaking at our club meeting tonight - I'll see if I can find out any additional details and post.

The info right now is pretty vague but it looks like Brussels Martin is going to be the headliner this year. Check that page often as the info should be updated as info becomes available.

If you are serious about visiting and in need of local accomodations, make them now! Local motels fill up early as it is usually near peak autumn leaf viewing season.
