Noelander Trophy 2007 Belgium.
Hi everybody,
Yes the "NOELANDER TROPHY 2007" was a great event again! Every year the quality of this friendly bonsai meeting gets better and better! This time the Noelanders gang did a really magnificent job, the Japanese pavilion at the entrance of the main show aria looked absolutely stunning! This yearly show has become one of the highlights of the bonsai calendar in middle Europe! Not only are there some of the best bonsai and suiseki on display, there is also a enormous amount off the best bonsai related traders there. And always a line of top demonstrators together with some promising young talents, on a beautiful theater stage. Combine this with the nice and friendly venue, with a good bar/restaurant and always smiling service, you can imagine why so many bonsai enthusiast are drown to this event from all over Europe! I’m always looking forward to showing my bonsai there and to mead up with my old bonsai friends from al around Europe. I hope you injoy the images that were shot by Ed van Reek. pic.1: entrence to the main exebition room. pic2,3,4: Steve Tolley's beautyful winner.

This year my dear friend Tony Tickle staid in my house before we went together to the show, in picture (45119) you can see him preparing and cleaning his stunning wind swapped Hawthorn in my (not finished garden). It was his first visit to this event and he absolutely loved it! In the background you can just see the top of Ed’s Chamaecyparis that I brought to the event for him, because he hade to work that day. Because of this, Ed was even more surprised when he came in on the Sunday to find out that he had won (in his first ever show!)one of the 4 nomination that they give away besides the first price, with his bonsai (Pic:45119). In the picture you can see the still stunned Ed with his nomination in frond of his bonsai. Well don Ed, may this be the start to a wonderful bonsai live for you!
