i made a mistake some time ago with keeping a display bench too close to the fench between my neighbour and i. it's a pressure treated fence but there's some give when bumped. well he bumped his side while mowing and down went a couple pots. junipers and hinoki were saved but i learned a lesson---margin of relief so to speak.
as for troublesome animals, the rabbits in my area quite enjoy pyracantha/firethorn. i had numerous cuttings and placed them on the deck to find they'd been nibbled to about half their length. they're up now and my jack russell has been instructed to patrol more vigorously. |
