New project for a beginer

Hey Guys,
this is my first project undertaken on my own in about 2 years. About
2 years ago 90% of my Bonsai was killed by a neibourhood cat(s), as it marked its territory, with a little convinsing and help from a few members here they persuaded me to stick with it and not give it up.

I have been relativley frightned to proceed with any thing untill now.
It is a work in progress and is lacking somthing at the moment but I'm not sure what?
I know the pot is a bit big, but with the rock I have in there it was the only one that would fit.

Please give some advise and/or comments
Reguards, Mac

hey mac how you doin. pal this is a landscape. in order to gain perspective if im using the right word, the pot needs to be shallow. this is the best i could do with that size photo, but look how the focus has altered and then from here you see what if anything is lacking but not in this size photo.

dam cats!

I have alot of cats in my neghborhood also. I dont think I do anything different except have a boxwood (which naturally deters deer) and I spray my trees with Neem Oil. never had a cat dig through or uproot anything yet... **knock on wood**

Hey guys,

I hope this is a better size pic for you?

Thanks for the advise! I only used that pot for training purposes until next year when I will put it in a shallow tray.

The main problem is that the rocks actually go all the way to the bottom of the pot
so hopfully when I do repot it, it doesn't look strainge

Thanks again, Mac
