Good morning everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been dabbling with bonsai for a few years, mostly just a deep interest and a few failed attempts.
Recently I have obtained a small Juniper and Ficus. I have an idea of what I want to do with the Juniper, still debating on what fits with that particular tree best. My ficus on the other hand, I am not too familiar with that tree. What are some of the styles that Ficus tend to do better in than others? When should one being pruning to make a fuller tree? Thank you and I look forward to reading your replies. |

Welcome to the forum! Any styles that make use of their roots do very well such as root over rock. I saw Ben Oki turn one into a broom style last week that came out very nice.
