Bonsai nare-do-well
|
New Bonsai Specie ;O)
I have this young fellow that has just started taking bonsai classes from me. A nice guy but with more energy than he really needs. Most young people seem to have that problem. Well, when compared to me anyway. ;o)
We talked about how to select stock, branch placement, trunk movement and all of that stuff. He is supposed to now go out and find something to start working on. Guess he got tired of waiting for the stores to open. I just got this picture in from him. His Mom is now out of steel wool. Not too sure if she is all that happy about that. But this does show that he is beginning to understand branch placement I guess. Actually it is kind of cute. I might make one for my wife. Cheaper than what she asked for as a Christmas present and I won't have to fight those lines at the store. Hope the kid never finds out about E-Bay. These would sell like hot cakes there and then he would be able to afford a better teacher than me ;o( |

Ron,
Its a very novel idea. Your next lesson is how to break up the pads to form sub-pads. Happy holidays.

Pretty nifty Ron, all it needs is one of those revolving color wheel lights shining on it.

I have seen the fake trees on ebay like this. I think your student did a pretty good job compared to those online.
