hi to all!
I recently purchased ficus nerifolia thru e-bay from florida. It appears to be in excellent health. I would like to graft a new branch to achieve a 2:1 ratio. I am planning to drill-thru donor in the desired location. This is indoor, the trunk is about 1-1/2" at location. winter okay or wait till spring? Advice apreciated. Thanks |

It all depends on the health of your tree. If you are familiar with your tree and it's growing habits, and the tree is growing vigorously then just about any time is good to do work on a Ficus. However your tree will not be growing at it's maximum potential without perfect conditions indoors and will take much longer to recover.
If you just got this tree, I would wait until you were familiar with your tree, it's growing habits, and needs before doing anything to it besides observing. Hope this helps Adam |
