Nea buxifolia
I acquired 3 Neas not too long ago. All I know about these guys is they are tropicals originally from Puerto Rico but I've found little info. about their horticultural requirements, pests, etc.
Looking forward to any input about this species. Jorge

Thank you for the references Alexis. I actually obtained these trees in P.R. during the recent BCI/FELAB convention. I understand their natural habitat is the limestone cliffs/boulders near Arecibo. The exhibit at the convention had them in all shapes and forms. It is a remarkable species indeed.

Jorge,
Were there any restriction regarding bringing them into the lower 48?

The convention had on-site D.A. inspectors and the shipments were made following D.A regulations including soil removal and proper wrapping and packing of the material. Needless to say shipments were not cheap but the goods arrived in excelent condition. My understanding is quarantine is not required coming from P.R.
Except for some Kingsville boxwood and junipers, all other material for sale were tropicals...
