Hey Ron .. won't be making it to the show but ..
there is a tree there which I would love to have a picture of. It is a Ficus philippinense .. on a tall piece of coral rock. I started it about twenty years ago in Miami, Fl. and when living in Tn, just a 'lil north of Asheville, I donated it to the Arboretum. Arthur Joura came out and scoped my collection and selected it. It was hard to give it up but I had already watched many tropicals die due to the cold and lack of light. I was located 2,000'+ up and in a hollar .. long story ... Anywho .. it would be nice to see a current pic of it.

I'll make sure that I check on the tree for you and take a photo if I can find it.
You know I have always wondered why I hardly ever see anyone at a bonsai show that is on a bonsai forum. Do they just stay home with their computers ;o) Last edited by Ron Martin : 9-Oct-2003 at 06:44 PM. |

Sorry if I am repeating information posted on your last post ron, I am kind of busy so I can't read it now. Jim Vanlandingham told me he would probably be there. He has already left on a three week trip up in that area.
