It was a mystery gift
I receieved this tree from BrainBay9 earlier this year, but I don't know what type of tree it is. Any ideas?
One photo shows an overall photo (great bark, don't you think?) The other photos shows a close up of the leaves and also a couple of thread grafts that Brian successfully performed. So what type of tree is it, anyway?

There's no shame in that.
I agree that the bark is nice, but i also haven't got an ID for you. (it does look somewhat familiar though) I'd sugest posting another picture in about a months time when the leaves have fully opened, it might be easier to get an ID then. Al

Hey maybe Brian can help us out here. Brian is such a kind and giving man,...he gave me a few trees last year, which are loving their new southern home. Sory I couldn't give you an ID man.

Does it have thorns?
Is the new bark silvery? Is it flowering? If so, are you able to display photos of the flowers and sepals? Cheers, Jim |

I know this tree (I think.)...we have some around here...natives of GA I think. As to the name, I cannot remember (Or simply never knew.) let me take a look around.
