My new place!

Well I threw the dice and bought a new home before selling my current home. Wish me luck selling! I found a place I had to have. It is 5 miles from work, 9.9 acres, 1200 square feet, full basement, 2 car garage, 34x34 foot barn with 2nd well and 100 amp service, automatic back-up generator for power outages, furnace and central air 1 year old etc... It does need a little work (trim around windows, painting and cleaning) but hey I wouldn't be able to afford it otherwise!

Can't hardly wait for closing! Anyway here are some pics.

Newt I wish you much luck. One word to describe your new property; beautiful!!! That barn would be my second home! Heck it's almost as big as my house! What a find, I hope everything works out for you. BTW what type of tree is that large multi-trunked specimen you have in the back yard? Just curious, is it an oak?

Nice spread, scenic, really looks relaxing... No interstate just over the horizon? John

That there is funny pootsie. I thought there might be a tree fort up there too. I noticed those boards/steps as well.

Thanks every one!

Pootsie,
I have not climbed it yet. Yet! It looks like a kids efforts from the ground. I am thinking of making a deck up there (I have wanted to do that ever since I first read Tolkein's description of the elves' homes in the trees)! There is plenty of room.

The tree by the way is a sugar maple, probably the largest I have ever seen!

"No interstate just over the horizon?"
It is on a busy road: M-96. But once in the back yard it is hardly noticable, especially when I get the pond/waterfall put in next year. Behind the barn I am in heaven, can't hear anything but nature.

"Is that barn going to be the new bonsai shop in your area. Would make a good one."
I would really like that but no, our immediate business plans are a boarding stable to help pay the large mortage payments. Sarah's Stables... Have to run that one by the wife! Came up with it today. I was in a position to pay to board her horse somewhere else or find a place to call home. We have a lot of work to do before winter, heres to a late snow! She already has 3 others who would like to board with us and were not even in there yet (closing in Nov.).

Thanks for the support!!!

Newt

Wow, wow...wow I say from the land of $1,000,000 houses on 6,000 square foot lots. Well done, it looks like a bonsai heaven.
