I think the worst is the ongoing soil debate.

Lately, I think it's about whether Nick and Jessica will be able to reconcile, and how Angelina is a wicked homewrecker.

Classical vs Naturalistic got my vote, although the others certainly cause a lot of controversy. My hackles raise when I hear comments that a bonsai is not a bonsai if it doesn’t conform to a particular style. To me bonsai is about artist presentation that best represents the species of tree, not whether or not it conforms to a particular style..

Domestic beer ONLY if it it's a microbrew. Local is preferable, depending on what is local for you.

The one that gets me going the quickest is whether or not collecting in the wild is harmful to the environment.

I can honestly say that not one of these topics "get's my blood going." What does get my blood going is when people address the subjective aspects of these issues as if they are objective, and of course they say that their opinion is the objective truth. Get over yourself! Artists! Hrumph!

None of the above, "Bonsai tree", that does it for me. It's redundant. And adding s to bonsai, suiseki, dai, daiza, hanko. If it wasn't 4 am I could think of more.

Great list Treebay
but I thought of a few more...

Moss, all the time or just for shows?
Akadama, whats the deal with the red clay balls?
Tools, stainless or carbon steel?

matt, awesome poll. (wish i had seen it when you first posted it) i had to go with "art or horticulture" just because i have been part of or witnessed so many heated debates about it, both online and in person. there are some great choices in there. if i could have picked two, my second would have been "classic vs naturalistic" for sure. can't wait to see how this turns out.
