Two days ago after taking off the wire.
Now this looks sad. I will do some restyling within the next days.
Willl the long branch have to go?

best regards

Hi Walter,
the long branch looked very good with the wire on.
Why did you take it off?

Walter,

Often when I see one of your trees it brings to mind a picture of a dancer! This one brings to mind a warrior reaching over his shoulder pointing his sword down at a foe. That may be a bit abstract but the thing I love about your trees is the imagery that they inspire!

Hi Walter,

I think the tree looks better without the long branch.

regards, René

Walter, I agree with Rene. Just remember, however, that this comes from a succesful Appreciator of Bonsai who doesn't pretend to be a successful Bonsai Artist!

After seing Rene's virtual I agree with Rene and Fred,
shortening the long branch reduces the clutter and brings out the beauty of lower trunk.

Good job Rene!

I also like the tree without the added branch (and I also like viewing it as a warrier, spear raised over the fallen foe.)

Alright, Fred, I think I'm on to your game. In fact, I met a guy at the pool hall last night who was playing it himself. You're talking all of this talk about your limited styling abilities, asking all these questions, describing your starter trees but not actually showing us the pictures...

Then the whispers start going around. "He studied with Naka, you know..." "He spent a lot of time in Japan...just what do you think he was doing there?"

Still you keep denying it, arguing all the more that you can't style trees for beans! Yeah, sure...

I bet you're a BONSAI SHARK!

My daddy warned me about those.

Best wishes,
Old Mister Crow
