Ming Aralia
I went to my local nursery and found that they had Ming Aralias. I have never seen them before and I was instantly attracted to them cause of the trunk and foliage. I have done some research on the tree and most of the pictures I've seen have the tree growing straight upward. Is it possible to broom out a Ming Aralia? Because I think the foliage will really accent the broom style. For 22 dollars the trunk of this tree is massive. I wanted to get it but, I didn't want to be ignorant and buy something I wasnt familiar with.

They're not big on bending with wire (especially at that size!), so clip n grow might be your best bet. The one thing they are fussy about is being watered too often, and will react quickly if you're not careful, plus they don't need very strong lighting.
