Maple Burn? Or Water Effects? Or Airflow?
I have three japanese maples. Two of the three have the ends of the leaves browned and crumpled. The third is perfect. I've been told by some masters in some of our club meetings that it's from the Long Beach water supply. It's hich in Calcium and Chlorine. So I've added vinegar to the water to adjust for that. All the trees are under shade cloth and out of direct sunlight. I'm thinking it's airflow / circulation. Anybody have any opionions? Thanks, George
