LSBF convention in Fort Worth
This is an (I borrow from another poster somewhere on the site) unabashed plug for the Texas State Bonsai Convention (better known as LSBF) May 13-15. I spoke with the Registration/workshop organizer two nights ago and they still had a good number of seats in the workshops- including several with Walter Pall (Trident Maple, Bring your own tree and collected Pinyon Pine). If you are within a reasonable distance of Dallas/Fort Worth this would be an excellent opportunity to wach Herr Pall (and Mary Madison) and several Texas Artists do workshops and Demonstrations.
I am not a member of the LSBF (I am in Arkansas) but have attended the last four years or so and have always been impressed by the hospitality at and quality of the annual Convention. Their website is http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/...ramessetup.html If I have violated any credo for promoting someone else's convention- I appologize profusely in advance. |

They are getting a little nervous out in Ft. Worth. Normally the annual LSBF convention draws an overflow crowd, but the response has been a little slow this year. I just want to say, a couple of months ago, I went to see the vendor who supplied those Pinon pines that Walter will be giving the workshop on, and the ones he had left were some mighty fine trees. If the convention bought the best stock (and he says they did), then there will be some great trees for this workshop. There will be a large vendor area as well, a great oppurtunity to get stock, or supplies. Should be a really great show.
So, trying to bang the drum on this one a little, hope to see all the Oklahomans at this convention too!
