Fox,

Are you in a club? Asking the people in the local club up there will probably get you alot more help than the people here can give you. I don't think we have many people from you area on board here. Good luck. Also, remember we have lots of good online resources and pine bark is often more volume than weight, so you won't get totally killed by shipping costs.

There is a lady named Ling working in Home depot 900 Terminal Ave.
Vancouver, BC V6A 4G4 from Tuesday to Saturday . She is very nice and helpful. Whenever I have questions and problem I always go there and ask her. She always
has answer for me. When ever I want to fine Bonsai tree. She would get it for me for very cheap price.

There is a little nursery called Brookswood Nursery near 35th and 200th in Langley, run by a lady named Lucille who is just mad for bonsai. It is an eccentric little place and Lucille is really nice and very chatty, especially about her bonsai. It is closed on Monday's I believe, but I can't say for sure that it is open in the winter months. You'd have to check that out. Worth going to if you like bonsai.

Garden Works on Lougheed in Burnaby has a pretty decent stock of trees. They're not terribly cheap though. They also have pine bark, lava rock, etc.

Sunny Bonsai on Boundary near the Van/Burnaby border has a good collection of bonsai basics and trees in training.
