Keep it outdoors in full sun, planted in well draining soil.

Use tropicals. You will be much happier, and will have much less fatalities.

my addvice is get bald cypress (taxodium distichum) schefflera fukien tea slash pine black pine (black pine do awesome here) and olive also do really well. all my junipers die in the shade or in the sun with all kinds of soil it doesn't matter they just die but bonitah is right. i think mine all die cuz i'm rough with them and they don't like that. the trick seems to be to put it in the full sun like bonitah says, well drained soil, but let it get use to it and get healthy then clip and so forth. but seriously man for where we live we got all those other great plants not to mension Casuarina!

well... you could always move to someplace witha more hospitable climate...

Your Juniper needs lots of light but with the heat you get there it might get burnt.. My advise to to create a canopy witha shade cloth over the roof and open sides.. Let it get morning sun and do not let it dry out.

Good luck

the fukien do not grow wild in Florida and most nurseries don't have them. but this does not mean they don't do well here. if you live anywhere near the Melbourne area there is a bonsai artist in palm bay that has fukien. black olive and olive (white grey) are both good for bonsai. this site is really good for olive bonsai tips http://www.dugzbonsai.com/.
also check out www.tropicalbonsai.com forum. look at the Casuarina tree and other tropical bonsai species and techniques. a lot of plants have black berries so i dunno. olive have a pit so look for that.
good growing
