Looking For English Oak
I've been lookin for an oak tree to get preferable in seedling form or seeds. I've seen alot the trees native to california and the states but i cant get over how much i like the English Oak(Quercus robur). I've been lookin all over for them but i cant find them. I live in the midwest zone 5 and im probably not goin to the european area to get one. So if anyone knows where to get an english oak in here id like to here about it.
thanks, kevin |

Maybe the seed exchange would be a possibility. I tried a search on "quercus robur acorn" and came up with just one site but the guy was in England.
I did find this link that shows the tree foliage and acorn, which could be of use. Another possibility is to find an arboretum in your area and collect some of your own. This one came up tops on a search of "Kansas Arboretum Quercus Robur" Loose Park in Kansas City, MO looks like it has a lot of trees. I'm guessing it was an hour or two away from Overland Park. I drove from the airport to Lenexa, KS once, awhile back. Regards, Matt
