Pat,
Wasn't taking your response to task. As Lehket pointed out, Bunjin design, like windswept designs, have become a catch all for bad, unworkable trees with no other obvious solution. I think it's a pity. Both styles are among the hardest, along with formal upright, to accomplish effectively by anyone. Simply because a tree has a long sparsesly-banched trunk, it's assumed it is a bunjin candiate, when other, more long-term, plans could make a better design in another style. |
