I realize you have to have something other than the Reader. I guess my question is what was gained by converting it to a PDFas opposed to just saving it as an HTML document?
I don't know what I'm looking for here. I guess I just find using a Browser as a way to organize links to be very inadequate. I don't know of any better way either. Just my rant............ I'm mean, what do you get? You create a folder or sub-folder and plop it into it. You can rename it if you want and that's about it. A given web site could and probably is multiple things to you but can't be similarily cross referenced. Pretty soon you just end up with too many to deal with. |

HTML files have to have a folder full of images associated with them. PDF's are saved in toto as a single file. Less clutter. And you can e-mail the whole thing as a single unit.

Shoot, I didn't even think about that.
It just so happens that I was recently forced to do a bit of housecleaning on my hard drive. In part because I needed to make room for a large (70MB) HTML file. I imagine converting it would have shrunk it considerably. No? So what did I get rid of? A PDF converting program that I had downloaded for trial but had never gotton around to trying. Oh well. Getting Adobe programs just aren't in my budget either. |
