had thought of building a house boat w/ a "yard" by simply building two large platforms on interconnecting pontoons and putting a small airstream type camper across them when they are connected and build up areas with chicken wire then cover them with landscape cloth then spike down sod and build in subsurface pots that dip just into the water for shrubs and small trees,...i'd also have to build a railing that looks like picket fence to go round the whole thing. LOL Someday,...some sweet day!
