"That is the major reason that I have nothing to do with BT."

And this may be a reason why "he who shall not be named" is getting published--along with apparently free technical assistance for the publisher.

Ron, I think if I were publishing a bonsai mag and I had an article from someone with nice trees, and one from someone who has really nice mushrooms, I would publish the tree article... Experience bonsai people/authors stepping back only gives the publisher fewer options.

RockM, why try to add common sense and logic to this thread? It will only serve to confuse.

Seriously, perhaps the problem is the clash of media technologies. The magazine format (with its inherent problems) may be gasping its final breaths.

Well if anyone wants to read some new refreshing material from a beginner on the scene with no axes to grind, (except plugging a pal's site of course) here's a link.

For some years I am a subscriber of "Bonsai Today".
For some years, way before "he who shall not be named", I had exactly the same feelings as Al describes.
As for this forum, for personal reasons, for some years I had to limit my participation, I must admit that now it is much less moderated and less interesting as it use to be.

The option always exists to cancel your subscription to that particular magazine...I don't believe we get anywhere by beating a dead mule and by starting another 7-page long thread with little benefit for those still struggling to learn the basics of the art...
