Is It Just a Matter of Time?
I hope this news release doesn't become a problem for us bonsai addicts,
but I'm afraid we might be on borrowed time. News Release so far like the article says it's mostly affecting the adult sites. I'm not very optimistic though that it will stay there. I guess if your not using the MS browser you needn't worry. Maybe it's time to start thinking different browser.

This is just one of the many reasons I have switched to Mozilla's FireFox as my web browser. I have noticed absolutely no difference in the appearance/function of sites I frequently visit using Mozilla.
And.. for what it's worth.. I haven't used a Microsoft product for my e-mail in three years (I use Eudora). Just my 2½ cents. |

Not just browsers are affected. Any program that displays the advanced information of, or edits pictures can be affected by this security hole. Everyone just needs to update his or her operating systems and software on a regular basis.

If you have SP2 for Win XP you should be OK - according to the article...

Yahoo is a little behind in this story. Both Microsoft and Symantec have addressed the problem.
Microsoft has a patch that fixed the problem a while ago. The patch was made available for free. It is installed on my computer. Symantec Corp. makes Norton so if you have that anti-virus program (and you keep it updated) you have a double bit of protection. |
